Dr. M is a global business leader who has started many successful business collaborations such as Modi Rubber with Continental (Germany) in 1975, Modi Xerox with Xerox (USA) in 1983, Modi Olivetti with Olivetti (Italy) in 1987, Alcatel Modi Network with Alcatel (France) in 1992, Modi Telstra with Telstra (Australia), Axiata Spice Communications with Axiata (formerly Telekom Malaysia) in 1995 and MYLFE with Fountain Life (USA) in 2020.
Dr. M orchestrated India’s first mobile call in 1995 on the Modi Telstra network and went on to initiate multiple ventures in telecom, mobility and VAS services such as Spice Communications in 1995, Spice Digital in 2000, Spice Hotspot in 2004 and the acquisition of i2i in 2009 making it Si2i. His innovative approach and futuristic vision played an important role in shaping India’s telecom industry and laid the foundation of the Digital India that we see today.
