Dr. M is an impassioned proponent of Global Citizenship, his unstinting commitment to Humanity, is evident in varied endeavours aimed at creating One World beyond gender, religion and nationality. A clarion call that has reverberated from the United Nations to some of the world’s leading global cities.
Dr. M has led several efforts such as the Vishwa Dharam Prasar Yatra in 2002 which was flagged off by former Indian Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These initiatives at the start of the new millennia, extolled the virtues of globalisation and encouraged global expatriates to be a force for the greater good and a bridge to positive international diplomacy.
In 2013, Dr. M formed a not-for-profit organisation, Global Citizen Forum (GCF) with the objective of forming One World. Since then, GCF has held events in some of the world’s leading global cities including, Singapore, Shenzhen, New Delhi, Dubai, London, New York and Mexico, to unite like-minded global citizens who are committed to global unity, sustainability, progress and peace.
As the founder of GCF and for his continuous dedication to global citizenship and unity, Dr. M has been felicitated by world leaders such as former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew in 2009. Dr. M is also the recipient of the ‘Ambassador for Peace’ award by the Universal Peace Federation (USA) in 2013 and had led audiences with several illustrious social, political and religious leaders such as the Dalai Lama, former President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi amongst others.
Dr. M’s most recent initiative, called ‘Beyond Gender’ advocates universal gender equality as a cornerstone of global citizenship and a sustainable society.
